The Hunting Series combines the diagonally cut rings from the Ideal Scope Mount System™ (ISMS™) system with the sleek looks of a more traditional hunting ring.
Spuhr machines the mounts and rings from 7075 T651 billet aluminum, as this material is lightweight and extremely strong, even outperforming construction steel in several aspects. Fasteners are 12.9 Grade steel with zinc-nickel corrosion resistance, and they come pre-waxed to ensure proper torque values.
THREE VERSIONS OF THE HUNTING SERIES ARE AVAILABLE
-Standard Hunting version that has a Spuhr Interface on one ring
-Classic version that doesn’t have any interfaces
-Interface version that features Spuhr Interfaces on both rings
Spuhr currently offers the hunting series in two main families
PICATINNY
The SCP series of Hunting Mounts are designed for use on 1-piece Picatinny scope bases. Available in several heights for the following tube diameters, 25.4, 30, and 34 mm. The SCP series features two separate side clamps secured with M4x10 Torx 20 screws, and thanks to its design the SCP series can be rotated for left-handed use.
SAKO TRG / TIKKA T3/T3X
The SCT series of Hunting Mounts are designed for use on SAKO TRG and Tikka T3x dovetails. Available in several heights for the following tube diameters, 30, and 34 mm. The SCT series features single side clamps secured with three M5x16 Torx 20 screws.
INTERFACE SYSTEM
The Spuhr Interface™ provides a way to attach accessories to the scope mount/ring – with a high degree of repeatability – without having to replace parts of the mount or having to re-zero the scope in between changes.
